There are all sorts of interesting things to do in Rockland County and environs: cultural activities, remarkable hiking and nature walks, fascinating small, isolated communities that define themselves ethnically, religiously, and/or philosophically, and living history dating back to the pre-Columbian era.

Still, somehow I think that the chamber of commerce would nix an ad campaign featuring this refrain from Allen Ginsberg's "Howl":

"I'm with you in Rockland"
